Lady Patriots WIN District title

The 10U Lady Patriots took the field Sunday morning 7/11/2010 with one thing in mind, Being the first team in Williston Park Softball history to win the District 28 Championship! They did not disappoint, Led by the outstanding pitching of Patricia G (13 K's) the Lady Patriots beat Albertson Herricks 5 to 2. They jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Aileen H had a clutch 2 out hit to score what would be the winning run, alone with catching an outstanding game in the what was one of the hottest days this year.

How fitting that Patriots should win on Memorial Day, Patriots 12u win the inaugural 2009 Memorial Day Tournament in Port Washington beating Massapequa 10 - 4 in the final. The Patriots had wins over Mineola, Port Washington, and Massapequa during the tournament

Williston Park ace pitcher against the Yorkville Patriots lefty ace. Game scoreless 0-0 thru 5 innings. Yorkville takes 1-0 lead in the top of the 6th. In the bottom of the 6th ... Danny Martinucci singles, Casey Cunningham singles, Chris Serrano singles ... bases loaded, 0 outs, Williston Park still trailing 1-0 ... John Quinn singles, tie game ... Popout to 3rd base, 1 out ... game still tied 1-1 ... Jimmy Bulva then hits the game winning single. Amazing. Williston Park takes game-1 by score of 2-1 and takes 1-0 series lead.

The Williston Park Little League 11/12 year-old Tournament Team completed another fabulous baseball season this past weekend (11/8) by defeating a strong Ridgewood-Glendale-Middle Village-Maspeth (RGMVM) team to win the Diamond Pro’s Fall 12&under Championship.

During Columbus Day Weekend, the Williston Park Little League 11/12-year-old Tournament Team went on a road trip to North Branford, Connecticut and won the Triple Crown Series 12&Under Championship at the Connecticut Sportsplex! The Williston Park team received strong pitching, timely hitting, and outstanding defense to win 5 games in two days and take the Triple Crown Series Championship, which now qualifies the Williston Park team for a trip to the Triple Crown Nationals in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2004.
